6th Grade Biography Report Questions (famous people list is on the "welcome link")
6th Grade Biography Report questions that you started in class you may now work on at home as well. Remember reports may be typed but need to be at least 1 page long and no larger than 12 point font, 1 inch margins, & black ink only.
What do you need for your report?
Notes
1. Who is your famous person?
2. When was this person born? When did they die? (only if applies)
3. What are some things that happen to this person in their childhood, or some events that happen early in their life?
4. What are some of their character traits? Use adjectives, what did that person look like, how did they dress, did that person act a certain way all the time? things like this.
5. What is your person famous for? Was it singing, acting, being a doctor, scientist, maybe a famous baseball player or guitarist? Maybe that person had many things they were famous for. You can also add things that person accomplished after he/she became famous. Maybe they started to act, or started a clothing line, or a foundation?
6. What are some interesting facts you found? Maybe if that person is/was a famous painter, how many painting did that person paint before they died, or are there still murals up that they painted today?
7. What was the most interesting thing that you found interesting about that person? Was it that that person was a self taught artist, or the first Latin American to become a judge in America, or maybe that person one of the 15 most influential religious leaders across America ? Example:
José H. GomezArchbishop Gomez is the highest-ranking Hispanic bishop in the United States, as well as the first Hispanic Archbishop of Los Angeles. He founded the Catholic Association of Latino Leaders as an organization of Catholic professionals and community leaders who would facilitate dialogue within the Church and U.S. Latino community.

**Do not forget you will have to make sure to write down all of your sources. You can use the television, encyclopedias, news paper, internet (no wikapedia), & magazines.

K - We are learning our colors and letters A -D and new word araña - spider, burro - donkey, calabaza - pumpkin, chaleco - vest, and delfin - dophin
1st grade - We are learning numbers and colors red- rojo, orange - anaranjado, yellow - amarillo, green- verde, blue - azul, purple - morado, black- negro, gray- gris, brown - marrón / café , white - blanco and will have our first quiz on 11/23/2015
2cd grade - We are learning our days of the week in Spanish lunes - Monday, martes - Tuesday, miércoles - Wednesday, jueves - Thursday, viernes - Friday,sábado - Saturday, domingo - Sunday : Today is (Monday) Hoy es (lunes) , Tomorrow is (Tuesday) Manana es (martes), Yesterday was Sunday) Ayer fue (domingo) * Practice with the days of the week. The questions will be on the quiz but here is a huge hint... the quiz is on a MONDAY! :) will have our first quiz on 11/30/2015 <~~~ Please make sure homework is brought in befor the quiz day so I know second grade is on the right track. it is due 11/23

4th grade - We are learning high frequency Spanish vocabulary words = son - they are, dia - day, casa - house, escuela - school, veo - I see, fue - it was,hoy - today, comer - eat, tiene - has, & correr - run. We will have a quiz on these words from our word wall on 11/23 for Monday's 4th grade and 11/ 24 for Tuesday's 4th grade
5th grade - We are working with high frequency Spanish vocabulary and the use of a Spanish and English Dictionary. la- the, son - they are, nunca- never, dia- day, estaba - I was, casa - house, muy - very, escuela - school, hay - there are, veo - I see, al - to the , fue - it was, va - goes, hoy - today, & tengo - I have. We will have a quiz on 11/ 24 Tuesday's 5th group and 11/25 Wednesday's 5th grade group.
